Hidden History of Boston @ Newton Free Library | Newton | Massachusetts | United States

Boston is one of America’s most historic cities, but it has quite a bit of unseen past. Author and Boston by Foot docent, Dina Vargo, will shine a light into the cobwebbed corners of Boston’s hidden history including among other stories, how William Monroe Trotter publisher of the Boston Guardian, an independent African American newspaper, was a beacon of civil rights activism at the turn of the century. Ms. Vargo is the author of Wild Women of Boston: Mettle and Moxie in the Hub.
