Eli Portman uses dynamic pen and ink line work, and sometimes very bright, almost garish colors, to illustrate landscapes and scenes in Boston that remind us of where we came from, and where we’re going. Barney Levitt tries to create a narrative from the objects of his still life paintings that elevate and give new meaning to their ordinariness. This event is part of the 2017 Newton Festival of the Arts.
