Each month will have a different theme that is explored weekly through book groups, strategic games, technology and maker concepts. Ages 10-14 meet from 10:00 am-11:30 am in the Teen Area. Ages 5-9 meet from 10:00 am-10:45 am in the Children’s Room. FLIP will be taking a break over the summer and return for the fall.

Walking Tour of Oak Hill Park @ Meet at the Shuman Center

Oak Hill Park, a little-known corner of Newton, was built in the late 1940s by a public-private partnership not just to house but to honor recently returned WWII veterans. Led by Paul Eldrenkamp, Oak Hill Park resident of 26 years, the tour will show us the greenbelt system and other attributes of this close-knit neighborhood.
