Each year we honor and have an essay contest which we award two $1,000 scholarships. We have honored businesses in Nonantum, our Veterans, fire & police, and last year our seniors from 90-100. Now in in its 47th season, Aston Magna is the nation’s longest-running summer festival of music performed on period instruments. The 2019 season includes the finest artists who are specialists in historical performance. The music of Bach, Pachelbel, Mozart, Castello, Purcell, Beethoven, Schubert, and others drive a dynamic program.
Explore the geology, trees, plants and history of DCR Hemlock Gorge Reservation, one of the first five parks acquired by the Metropolitan Parks Commission in 1893. Learn about the National Register-listed Echo Bridge and plans to restore its historic railings. This guided tour will include stairs and an uphill trail segment over rocky terrain so proper footwear is recommended.

Move to the beat with a music fest including Vanessa Trien, play in the custom-designed Playspace, explore all new program spaces for kids, families and adults, create a community art project with artist Tova Speter, and try out a variety of children’s classes in music, movement, and more. Parents will have an opportunity to talk with parenting experts, get active with free adult fitness classes in our renovated studios, explore our state-of-the-art fitness center and enjoy coffee and snacks.
